A Heartwarming Journey for Handmade Bears Created by Loyal Students

A heartwarming journey begins as 18 handmade bears created by the talented Loyal students in the Fun with Fabrics class have traveled beyond borders to Guatemala.
These adorable 8” bears, made from fleece and flannel, are now bringing joy to a group of youngsters in a village where homes are being built by Dave and Joan Bartz of Glenwood City, alongside their mission team.
The Bartz family, participating in their third year with Casas Por Cristo, reached out to their community for small stuffed toys to share with the children. Loyal students eagerly rose to the occasion, showcasing their skills in cutting patterns, machine stitching, hand sewing, and stuffing to bring these cuddly companions to life.
This project is not just about crafting; it’s about learning to share, giving back, and making an impact in the lives of others. A huge round of applause to the Loyal Proud Stitchers for a job well done and to the little bears who now have a very special purpose.
