FAMILIAR NAME TO HEAD COMMERCE

Wisconsin has a new Commerce Secretary.Gov. Jim Doyle announced this morning that Richard Leinenkugel - of the famous Wisconsin beer-brewing family - will become the chief liaison to state, national and international businesses.
Leinenkugel, of Menomonee Falls, is a vice president of the brewing company started by his family 140 years ago. He becomes Doyle's fourth head of the Commerce Department, which has a budget of $197 million this year, since 2003.
Leinenkugel replaces Jack Fischer, who resigned after the Journal Sentinel reported on his questionable travel expenses.
