Augusta School District Reminds Parents to Keep Their Children Home if They're Sick
Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 -- 9:00 AM

The Augusta School District is letting parents know they’ve had influenza, norovirus, and Strep Throat diagnosed and circulating around the District.
They ask parents to be vigilant for symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, and body aches. At home, make sure your child gets plenty of rest, stays hydrated, covers coughs and sneezes, and washes their hands frequently to help prevent the spread of the illness.
If your child experiences any of these, the District recommends keeping the home from school and seeking medical advice for proper treatment if necessary.
Remember, if your child has a fever or vomiting, they cannot return to school until they are fever free or haven’t vomited for at least 24 hours without the use of medications.
