President of Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union Appointed to Small Credit Union Council of America’s Credit Unions

MMCCU is proud to announce that President David Murphy has been appointed to the Small Credit Union Council of America’s Credit Unions for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2025.

This prestigious appointment recognizes Murphy’s dedication to advancing the credit union movement and his commitment to supporting small credit unions nationwide.

The Small Credit Union Council plays a vital role in tracking public policy issues, assessing their impact on smaller credit unions, and promoting unity across institutions of all sizes.

The council’s mission includes defending the cooperative, not-for-profit structure of credit unions and ensuring the unique challenges of smaller credit unions, defined as those with approximately $100 million in assets or less, are addressed.

“I’m honored to join the Small Credit Union Council and collaborate with industry leaders to advocate for policies that protect and strengthen the credit union movement,” said Murphy.

Council members meet virtually on a monthly basis and will convene in person prior to the 2025 Governmental Affairs Conference to discuss key initiatives.
