Wood County Sheriff’s Department Warns of Scam Continuing in the Area

Recently, Wood County residents have received phone calls from individuals claiming to be from the Wood County Sheriffs department, utilizing the phone number 715-421-8700, regarding alleged warrants for failure to appear for jury duty.

The Wood County Sheriffs Department has been notified these phone calls have continued.

As a reminder, the Wood County Sheriffs Department will not and does not call citizens and demand money for warrants.
