Marathon County Sheriff’s Department Announces Two Promotions

The Marathon County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce two recent promotions.

Corrections Officer Jennifer Merriam and Corrections Officer Jacob Salber were recently promoted to the rank of Corporal within the Marathon County Jail.

In their new roles, Corporal Merriam and Corporal Salber will be responsible for providing guidance, mentoring and feedback to their teams, ensuring for the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors, while maintaining compliance with facility policies at the Marathon County Jail.

Corporal Merriam and Corporal Salber have extensive experience in the corrections field and have demonstrated leadership qualities that suit them well with these new duties.

The Sheriff is confident Corporal Merriam and Corporal Salber are up to the challenge their promotions bring and will do an excellent job leading their teams.
