UPDATE: Marshfield Fire Department Responds to One Vehicle Accident and Fire with a Fatality; Name of Victim Released

The name of the individual involved in a fatal vehicle accident and fire has been released.

Around 1:50am early Tuesday morning, the Marshfield Fire & Rescue department was dispatched to 8992 East Heritage Dr. for an active vehicle fire with possible entrapment.

Engines 3 & 1 along with ambulance 95 responded. Upon arrival to the scene, one fully engulfed vehicle was found in the North ditch with power lines down on top of the vehicle.

Upon extinguishment of the flames one deceased victim, identified as 64-year-old Robin Skorie from Bryant was found within the vehicle. The scene was turned over to law enforcement to be investigated.

This particular fire was made more difficult due to the extreme cold temperatures and power lines on top of the vehicle.
