Friday, January 17th, 2025 -- 10:01 AM
(Wisconsin Radio Network) This weekend is a free fishing weekend in Wisconsin.
According to the Wisconsin Radio Network, the state Department of Natural Resources says this Saturday and Sunday, most of the state’s waters will be open for fishing for residents and nonresidents with no need for a fishing license, trout stamp or salmon stamp. All other state fishing regulations remain in effect.
First-time ice fishers can obtain loaner ice fishing equipment at 19 tackle loaner sites around the state. More information on that, as well as the Free Fishing Weekend, can be found at the DNR website.
