Items of Note on Tomorrow’s Agenda for the Marshfield Common Council

The City of Marshfield is holding their first Common Council meeting for January tomorrow, Tuesday the 14th.

Some items of note on the agenda include authorizing a request for proposals (RFP) for design services for the renovation of Wildwood Plaza for a new police station. There will be a presentation on the City's Financial Management Plan by Kayla Thorpe, Ehlers.

A request to approve Budget Resolution No. 01-2025, transferring $47,000 from General Fund Contingency to Fund 205 (economic development) for payment of funds related to cost-sharing for MACCI’s Business Development Director position. Also, a request to approve Resolution No. 2025-01, authorizing the issuance and sale of up to $7,739,680 Taxable Sewerage System Revenue Bonds.

There will also be a request to approve Resolution No. 2025-03, directing that a referendum for funding in support of hiring and retaining two firefighters/paramedics be placed on the ballot for the April 1st Spring Election.

Finally, there will be an update on strategic planning; discussion on next steps and Mayor appointments on the Parks and Recreation Committee and the Library Board.
