Marathon County Corporal to Assume New Role as Lieutenant Within Marathon County Jail

Next week, Marathon County Corporal Melissa Modrzejewski will assume her new role as a Lieutenant within the Marathon County Jail.
Lieutenant Modrzejewski began her career with the Marathon County Sheriff's Office in fall of 2016, during the time since she was hired, Lieutenant Modrzejewski has demonstrated incredible leadership and dedication to her work, earning a promotion to the rank of Corporal in the spring of 2023 and now as Lieutenant.
In addition to her work within the jail, Lieutenant Modrzejewski also leads their Youth Programs, providing opportunities for children in the community to participate in Shop with a Cop, Cops and Bobbers and the Badges and Bullseye's programs that they have at the Sheriff's Office.
Outside of the Sheriff's Office, Lieutenant Modrzejewski is very involved in training new Corrections Officers in the Wisconsin Department of Justice Corrections Academy that is held at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau.
