NEILLSVILLE BOARD OF EDUCATION TO HOLD ANNUAL MEETING
Monday, August 25th, 2008 -- 11:28 AM
Neillsville school district residents will vote on the proposed 2008-2009 budget tonight. The proposed numbers are subject to change should the district pass a 5-year, $300,000 revenue cap exemption referendum on September 9th.
For now, the district is proposing a total budget of $10.6-million; just over $3.2-million would come from local property taxpayers.
That's about a 2-percent decrease from last year's proposed levy.
The meeting starts at 8 p.m. The annual meeting includes the budget hearing and the board will set the levy amount for the upcoming school year.
