Wood County Parks and Forestry Enters Into Lease With Consolidated Water Power Company to Manage CERA Park

As of January 1st, 2025, Wood County Parks and Forestry Department has entered into a lease with Consolidated Water Power Company (CWPCO) to manage the property currently known as CERA Park, located on the north shore of the Biron Flowage.

Over the next few months staff will begin cutting dead trees and making building and grounds  improvements throughout the park. Wood County intends on opening the park for public use on Friday, May 23rd, 2025.

Campground and shelter reservations will begin sometime over the next few months. Please check their website or Facebook page for announcements. Due to the age, deteriorating condition, and high cost of repair and operation, the swimming pools will not be open.

Wood County will be completing a Comprehensive Park Plan in 2025 and will be considering other outdoor recreation opportunities for the park. They are excited to add this beautiful park to their County Park System.
