CELL PHONE BAN COMING TO MARSHFIELD

Those that drive in Marshfield have about a week to use their handheld cell phones.The city's ban on cell phone use while driving goes into effect September 1.
Retailers say they've seen an up-tick in shoppers looking for "hands-free" devices, which are still allowed under the ordinance.
Cops plan a month-long educational period. After that, violators will be fined $145.50 if they're caught chatting while driving.
Signs alerting motorists to the law will be posted at the major entrances to the city.
