Marshfield Man Arrested for 7th OWI

A Marshfield man was arrested for his 7th OWI on Saturday.

According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, on Saturday, December 21st, around 3:05pm, while on patrol, a traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of West Grant St. During the stop, the odor of intoxicants was observed coming from the driver.

The lone occupant, a 53-year-old Marshfield male, consented to field sobriety tests which were performed poorly. When advised he was under arrest the male became resistive and made suicide by cop threats.

The male was decentralized and safely taken into custody for OWI 7th offense, resisting arrest, and misdemeanor bail jumping. Charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney's Office.
