Krohn Clinic and Black River Memorial Hospital Merging December 30th
Saturday, December 21st, 2024 -- 8:01 AM
Krohn Clinic and Black River Memorial Hospital are merging.
The two entities are thrilled to announce the merger of Krohn Clinic and Black River Memorial Hospital to form Black River Health, effective December 30th.
This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to provide local, high-quality, and comprehensive healthcare to the residents of Jackson County and surrounding areas.
The decision to merge comes in response to growing health challenges with Jackson County faring worse than the average county in Wisconsin for health outcomes.
BRMH and Krohn Clinic are committed to addressing these issues by ensuring that healthcare remains excellent and close to home. A key focus of the partnership is maintaining the independence of each organization while working as a unified entity.
Black River Health leadership will be shared between Dr. Clark-Forsting, who will become the Chief Physician Executive, and Mr. Selvick, who will serve as Chief Executive Officer.
Local decision-making will remain at the forefront, ensuring that community needs will guide Black River Health services. This collaboration is built on a foundation of decades-long partnership, dating back to 1963 when Krohn Clinic donated the hospital.
BRMH, now, runs as a private non-profit, 501(c)(3). While both organizations have been independent for decades, they have shared a common mission of improving healthcare and promoting wellness throughout Jackson County.
With the community at the heart of every decision, Black River Health is dedicated to building a future where excellent healthcare is always close to home. For more information visit: blackriverhealth.com
