DNR Urges Residents to Consider Hosting a Fishing Clinic During Free Fishing Weekend

(Wisconsin Radio Network) On Free Fishing Weekend, residents and nonresidents can fish most waters of the state without a fishing license or a stamp for trout or salmon.

The DNR says the free weekend is a great opportunity to host a fishing clinic and introduce the activity to new people. The DNR says clinics should include anglers with limited mobility, and the clinics will be promoted, and educational materials will get sent out.

Event registration and necessary materials are due by January 8th. The next Free Fishing Weekend takes place January 18th through the 19th.
