Tomah Police Department Gives Update on Thanksgiving Stabbing

(WEAU Staff) The Tomah Police Department is giving an update to a Thanksgiving Day attempted homicide, according to WEAU staff.
According to Tomah Police, the Tomah Police Department is searching for 30-year-old David Hintz of Tomah, Wis. Hintz is believed to be in the greater Warrens area. Hintz has a Department of Corrections warrant for his arrest.
Anyone with information on Hintz’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Tomah Police Department Investigations Unit at 608-343-3754. Tomah police say do not approach or try to arrest Hintz.
Callers can remain anonymous and potentially receive a reward through Crime Stoppers (608-372-STOP). Tomah police say this case is related to the case/arrest of Justin Novak.
According to the Tomah Police Department, police received reports that a stabbing victim was dropped off at Tomah Health around 10:15 p.m. The victim had serious injuries and was transported to another hospital for more intensive care.
Through their investigation, Tomah Police were led to an address on Carol Kay Street in Tomah where a suspect was found and taken into custody. The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Justin Novak of Tomah. Novak is currently in the Monroe County Jail.
