Two People Killed in Two Vehicle Crash in Fall Creek Saturday Afternoon

(WEAU Staff) Authorities are naming two people killed in a two-vehicle crash in Fall Creek Saturday afternoon, according to WEAU staff.

According to an updated press release from the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office, the two are identified as 72-year-old Larry Rene, of rural Fall Creek and 52-year- old Laura Frasher, of Fairchild.

Rene was the operator of the eastbound vehicle and Frasher was the operator of the westbound vehicle. A passenger in Frasher’s vehicle remains hospitalized in stable condition.

According to the initial press release of the incident from the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on U.S. Highway 12 in Fall Creek around 12:00 p.m on Dec. 7, 2024.

A vehicle driving Eastbound crossed the centerline and hit a vehicle coming in the opposite direction head-on. The drivers of both vehicles died at the scene. A passenger in one of the vehicles was seriously hurt and was airlifted to the hospital.
