Human Remains Discovered in a Field Near Marshfield

On Saturday, December 7th, 2024, the Marshfield Police Department responded to a call regarding the discovery of human remains in a field adjacent to W. McMillan St, near N. St. Joseph’s Ave in the City of Marshfield.

Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and initiated an investigation. The individual’s identity was able to be determined, however, will not be released
pending notification of their family.

Preliminary information suggests that no foul play was involved, diminishing any concern for the public’s safety at this time. The investigation is ongoing; therefore, no further information will be released at this time.
