Two Vehicle Accident in Wood County Critically Injuries Three Including Two Children

On December 2nd, at approximately 3:59 p.m., Wood County Central Dispatch received the report of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of CTH C and CTH S in the Township of Rudolph.
A SUV, driven by 40-year-old Kamie Pupols of Milladore, was traveling westbound on CTH C approaching CTH S. A pickup truck, driven by 25-year-old Jack Rogers of Wisconsin Rapids, was traveling northbound on CTH S approaching CTH C.
Rogers failed to yield the right-of-way and the vehicles collided in the intersection of CTH S/CTH C. Both vehicles came to rest in the northwest ditch with the SUV on its side. Rogers received minor injuries.
Pupols, and two juvenile passengers in the SUV, received critical injuries. The two juveniles were flown by helicopter to Marshfield Medical Center and Pupols was transported by ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center. CTH C, CTH S and Zubella Rd were closed for several hours. The crash remains under investigation.
Wood County Deputies were assisted by Wood County Sheriff's Rescue, United Ambulance, Rudolph Fire Department/First Responders, Wisconsin Rapids Ambulance, Lifelink III Helicopter, Aspirus Medevac Helicopter, Wisconsin State Patrol and Wood County Central Dispatch.
