Tomah Man Appears in Court for Thanksgiving Stabbing

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A Tomah stabbing suspect was charged in court Monday.
According to WEAU Staff, 33-year-old Justin Novak was charged with attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide, aggravated battery with intent of great bodily harm, 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety and bail jumping.
According to the Tomah Police Department, police received reports that a stabbing victim was dropped off at Tomah Health around 10:15 p.m. The victim had serious injuries and was transported to another hospital for more intensive care.
Through their investigation, Tomah Police were led to an address on Carol Kay Street in Tomah where a suspect was found and taken into custody. Novak is currently in the Monroe County Jail.
The court ordered a $50,000 cash bond with conditions. Novak’s initial appearance is scheduled for 1 p.m. on December 11.
