Turkey is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by Creekside Kennels and Shop south of Black River Falls. (https://www.creeksidekennelsshop.com/)

Name: Turkey

Age: 1.5-Years-Old

Breed: Shepherd Mix?

Just in time for Thanksgiving, we have a "Turkey" at CCHS, and he's the Pet of the Week! Turkey was surrendered to CCHS when he just couldn't stay in his previous home.

This handsome guy is one and a half years old and currently weighs 52.3 #. He is believed to be a Shepherd mix, though we are unable to verify what exactly his breed makeup is.

We do know for sure that he is very handsome. Turkey has a sleek black coat and perky ears. He is a sweet, quiet guy with a gentle demeanor. He doesn’t fully understand how to be a dog just yet as he doesn't even know what a treat is.

But he is incredibly intelligent and should have no problem catching on with the right support and guidance. If you're looking for a new best friend, please apply for Turkey today! You can submit your adoption application for Turkey on our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt.

We have lots and lots of animals at CCHS right now, especially dogs and puppies, so be sure to check them all out. You are also welcome to stop in and visit with all of our animals during any of our open hours!

Save the Date! Santa and Mrs. Claus are returning to CCHS this year for Pet Pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus! They will be at the Shelter on December 7th from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

They do a wonderful job and are happy to take pictures with all kinds of pets, from cats and dogs to rats and goats! Pictures are then available for purchase as prints, email or on a flash drive.

So bring your pets and make some great Holiday memories! More details are available on our website. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our volunteers, staff, members and friends!! We hope you have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving Day!

You can learn more about, and adopt, Turkey, and all the animals at the shelter, at their website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. You can also apply for adoption in person.
