Wisconsin Worker Shortage Could Last for Years
Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 -- 12:00 PM
(Terry Bell, WRN) A new study says Wisconsin employers will likely have a worker shortage for years to come.
Noah Williams is an economist at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. His new analysis concludes Wisconsin’s long-term worker needs will only be solved by getting new workers into the pipeline, and bringing new families to the state.
Williams says Wisconsin’s workforce is aging faster than the rest of the country. He says even with low unemployment, businesses in Wisconsin will need workers in the future.
