Breed: Coonhound
Meet Hunter, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Hunter was surrendered to CCHS with his sisters Amber and Goldie when their family had an unexpected litter of puppies and couldn't find homes for them.
Hunter is a Black & Tan Coonhound, and as such he has a short-haired black and tan coat. He is definitely a Hound with very long and soft ears and mellow warm brown eyes.
He is 4 months old now (date of birth 7/24/24) and weighs 24.7#. Hunter has a pleasant outlook on life and has the typical Hound attitude of not letting things bother him.
He is a friendly and happy boy. We do expect he'll do some more growing yet as he does have some pretty good-sized paws. But that will just mean more of him to love!

Save the Date! Santa and Mrs. Claus are returning to CCHS this year for Pet Pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus! They will be at the Shelter on December 7th from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
They do a wonderful job and are happy to take pictures with all kinds of pets, from cats and dogs to rats and goats! Pictures are then available for purchase as prints, email or on a flash drive. So bring your pets and make some great Holiday memories! More details are available on our website.
