Neillsville Burglary Investigation Completed

The Neillsville Police Department has completed the investigation into a burglary that happened at a business on October 31st.
In the early morning on October 31st, city police were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of West Seventh Street in response to an intrusion alarm. Upon arrival, the officers checked the property and found an unlocked door. There were no signs of forced entry or criminal damage.
Later that day, police spoke with the business owner and reviewed the surveillance footage recorded before the alarm was triggered. It was determined that the business had been unlawfully entered and that an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen.
Following further investigation, the police identified a suspect and conducted an interview. The suspect, Christian A. Doss, confessed to the crime. The police have referred theft and burglary charges to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Doss is currently being held in the Clark County Jail for a probation hold imposed by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
