The Marshfield School Board heard about April Elections for the Board at their meeting on Wednesday.

The last day for incumbent officeholders, not intending to seek reelection, to file Notification of Non-candidacy is December 27 of 2024. The deadline for Declaring Candidacy is January 7th of 2025 at 5:00 p.m. A Spring Primary, if required, would be February 18th of 2025. Finally, the Spring Election will be April 1st of 2025.

The Board also approved two 2025-26 calendars. They approved two because they are seeking a waiver to start the next school year a week early as it will allow more time for referendum work. So, if the waiver is approved they will adopt the calendar that will allow them to start a week early. If it’s not approved, they will start at the same time.

The Board also approved the Mental Health Consortium Memorandum of Understanding, approved student travel to Decorah, IA for the Dorian Vocal Festival, January 2025, approved retirements, approved resignations, and approved the employment of new personnel.
