(Karen Madden, Wausau Daily Herald) A judge ordered an examination Wednesday of a 28-year-old Taycheedah inmate charged with the July 19, 2024, death of her cellmate.
According to Karen Madden, Wausau Daily Herald, Taylor L. Sanchez, who currently is at the Wisconsin Resource Center in Winnebago, faces a charge of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Cindy Schulz-Juedes, 68.
Sanchez entered a not guilty plea April 23. Oct. 18, her attorney added a not guilty by reason of mental disease plea. Fond du Lac County Circuit Judge Tricia Walker ordered the evaluation of Sanchez Oct. 23.
Schulz-Juedes was convicted in October 2021 of being a party to the crime of first-degree intentional homicide in the 2006 death of her husband, Kenneth Juedes.
In June 2022, Marathon County Circuit Judge Michael Moran sentenced Schulz-Juedes to life in prison. Schulz-Juedes continued to say she was innocent of the crime until her death.
