The Highground Veterans Memorial Holds Successful Fall Bake Sale

The last Honor Stone Ceremonies for 2024 and the annual Fall Bake Sale brought numerous guests to The Highground on Saturday, October 5.

The Highground’s Sweet Platoon provided temptations for everyone’s sweet tooth with baked goods ranging from miniature pies to the traditional chocolate chip cookies.

The Highground is truly grateful for the fabulous guests, volunteer bakers and volunteers who worked the bake sale. The funds raised during this year’s Fall Bake Sale will support the 2024 Operation Re-Connect Military Couples Retreat scheduled for October 18-20.

Operation Re-Connect is structured to provide a calm and supportive environment where couples feel safe to share their experiences and help their relationships grow through interactive and insightful activities.

The retreat is free for couples; however, participants are responsible for their travel expenses. The Highground recognizes the Sweet Platoon Bakers: Bonnie Henchen, Helynn Schufletowski, Sue Budik, Patty Schwoch, Roxane Purgett and Julie Siemek.
