Taylor Man Arrested for Helping Home Invasion Suspect Appears in Jackson County Court

One of two people from Taylor arrested for helping a suspect in a Hixton home invasion that occurred in October of last year appeared in Jackson County Court on Thursday.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, James Syverson and Pamela Lien were arrested on November 7th of 2023. During their investigation and search of Anthony Sylvester, they learned Syverson and Lien were helping Sylvester elude law enforcement.

Sylvester was arrested on October 26th and is facing charges of attempted first degree homicide after he entered an individual’s home and stabbed another person.

During Syverson’s court appearance on Thursday he waived his preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charge against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court on November 18th.
