Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 -- 11:00 AM

(Brad Hanson, WAOW) Three people, including a Medford woman, were taken to the hospital after an incident during the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon Sunday, according to Brad Hanson with WAOW.

According to the Cudahy Police Department, it happened around 11:20 Sunday morning. Three cars and a pedestrian were involved in the incident, which happened in the 5900 block of S. Lake Dr. Police say a 68-year-old woman experienced a medical emergency while heading south on S. Lake Dr.

Her vehicle sideswiped another vehicle, causing minor damage. The driver of that vehicle wasn't hurt. The first vehicle then hit another one, causing that one to roll on its side. After it hit that vehicle, the first vehicle then hit a pedestrian.

She was identified as a 28-year-old Medford woman who was associated with the marathon. She, along with the drivers of the first and third vehicles were transported for medical treatment. Nothing criminal is suspected in the case.
