Marshfield Police Department Responds to Bomb Threat at a Residence in the City on Thursday

The Marshfield Police Department responded to a bomb threat at a residence in the City on Thursday.
According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, on Thursday, October 3rd, around 6pm, a resident on Cherry Avenue in the City of Marshfield received several SnapChats from a 15-year-old Marshfield male indicating he had placed a bomb at the residence and it was going to go off shortly.
He also indicated he was going to shoot the resident. The resident was at home with family. Officers responded to the area, evacuated the residence, and blocked off the street.
Contact was made with the male at his residence who admitted to making the threats and Wood County Human Services was contacted. A juvenile referral will be sent for a bomb threat, unlawful use of a computerized communication system, and disorderly conduct.
