Neillsville Police Department Investigating Shooting Incident Involving Two Minors

There was a shooting incident involving two minors in the City of Neillsville Wednesday night.

According to the Neillsville Police Department, on Wednesday, September 25th, at approximately 8:56pm, the Neillsville Police Department responded to a report of a juvenile being shot at a residence in the 500 block of West 7th Street.

Upon arrival, the police found a 4-year-old girl from Neillsville who had suffered a gunshot wound. The girl was taken to the local hospital to receive treatment for her non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicated that a juvenile relative shot the 4-year-old with a handgun. Neillsville Police Officers are continuing to investigate the incident. Further information may be released as the inquiry progresses.
