Marathon County Sheriff’s Department Responds to Two-Vehicle Crash in the Town of Spencer

The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that resulted in one fatality at approximately 7:51 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, near the intersection of State Highway 13 and Merkel Road in the Town of Spencer.

The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 27-year-old man killed in the September 23, 2024, traffic crash in the Town of Spencer as Anthony A. Peplinski of Spencer, WI.

The Wisconsin State Patrol, Spencer Police Department, Spencer Fire/EMS, Marshfield Fire/EMS, Marshfield Police Department, and the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office are among the agencies assisting.
