SWIGGUM TRAILS SUDER IN FUNDRAISING

The Democratic candidate for the 69th Assembly District seat has his work cut out for him in the fundraising department.According to campaign finance statements, Rep. Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) had nearly $37,000 in the coffers as of June 30th. Challenger Tim Swiggum (D-Owen) had only $812.
As an incumbent, Suder's campaign cash carries over. He started the reporting period with $30,000 and raised an additional $9,000. Swiggum raised just over $2,000.
Swiggum received no money from Political Action Committees, while Suder received $7,450 from PACs.
Suder has spent around $2,400 on the current campaign; Swiggum has spent around $1,600.
Suder and Swiggum will face off in November.
