City of Marshfield Reminds ATV/UTV Riders that Some Roadways are Prohibited

ATVs and UTVs may operate on the specified trail routes and some ancillary roads to either access your home or a local business in the City of Marshfield.
Several of the city’s major roadways are specifically prohibited. Operating your ATV/UTV on prohibited roads will result in violations and enforcement. Operation of an ATV/UTV on prohibited roadways is $124.
Prohibited Streets: Major roadways where ATV/UTV operation is strictly prohibited include:
Veterans Parkway (STH 13), Central Avenue (STH 97), and many others including:
- Peach Avenue – McMillan St to 29th St;
- St Joseph Avenue – McMillan Street to Veterans Parkway;
- Ives Street – Oak Avenue to Peach Avenue;
- Oak Avenue – 14th Street to Veterans Parkway;
- Oak Avenue / Doege Street - St Joseph Ave to McMillan St;
- 14th Street – Lincoln Ave to Central Avenue;
- Adler Road – Oak Ave to Lincoln Avenue;
- Doege Street – Oak Ave to Becker Rd;
- Becker Rd – Doege St to Galvin Avenue;
- Upham Street – St Joseph’s Avenue to Peach Avenue;
- McMillan Street – Lincoln Avenue (north) to Peach Avenue;
- 4th Street – Central Avenue to Washington Avenue;
- Washington Avenue – 4th Street to 17th Street;
- 4th Street - Veterans Parkway to Hume Avenue;
- And 8th Street – Washington Avenue to Veterans Parkway.
Speed Limits: The speed limit for ATVs/UTVs is equal to the posted roadway speed limit, with a maximum allowable speed of 35 MPH if the posted limit is higher. Safety Requirements: Operators and riders under 18 must wear helmets, and all operators 16 years or older must possess a valid driver’s license.
Additionally, anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, must have an ATV Safety Certificate. Operational Hours: The use of ATVs/UTVs is prohibited between 10 PM and 6 AM within the City of Marshfield. Full information is provided with the following links:
