Owen-Withee School District Asking Residents to Approve Opperational Referendum on November 5th Ballot
Monday, September 23rd, 2024 -- 12:01 PM
Owen-Withee School District has an Operational Referendum on the November 5th ballot.
The District is asking residents within the Owen-Withee School District to approve exceeding state-set revenue caps by $500,000 per year for 3 years beginning in the 2024-25 school year.
This referendum would replace the one that ended this year. With this approval, it would allow the District to maintain current staff levels and programs. It would also allow the District to continue maintenance projects.
If the referendum fails, there would be additional budget cuts that affect both students and staff. There would be reductions in all areas and more missed opportunities.
