The Wood County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the man arrested for the death of a woman after a domestic violence incident in the Town of Auburndale.
On September 15th, the Wood County Sheriff's Department investigated the death of a 40-year-old female on McMillan St between Rock Inn Road and Day Road in the Town of Auburndale. At this time, Alec Beach (22 years old) is being held at the Wood County Jail on a probation violation.
Beach was also arrested for OWI at the time of the incident. The victim, Nicole Sandoval (40 years old), was located at the scene of the incident upon law enforcement arrival. Life saving measures were performed but Sandoval succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators are waiting for autopsy results to determine the official cause of death, but Wood County Sheriff's Department investigators anticipate additional criminal charges against Beach after the autopsy is completed.
This is being investigated as a homicide and all information at this time indicates this incident started as a domestic disturbance between Beach and Sandoval. This is an isolated incident and the community is not at risk.
