Wood County Sheriff’s Department Releases Names of Individuals Involved in Motorcycle Accident

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department has released the names of the individuals involved in a motorcycle crash in Wood County.
On September 15th, the Wood County Dispatch Center received a call of a motorcycle crash on Hwy D, near Moore Road in the Township of Cranmoor. Deputies and EMS personnel were dispatched to the scene.
The motorcycle operator, 42-year-old Kenderick Schunke of Vesper, was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger, 31-year-old Nicole Schunke of Vesper, was transported via Life Link to the Marshfield Medical Center.
On scene investigation indicates the motorcycle operator lost control while negotiating a curve and attempting to travel northbound on Hwy D. No other vehicles were involved in the incident. This crash remains under investigation.
Agencies assisting the Wood County Sheriff's Department in the incident included: Nekoosa Police Department, Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, Port Edwards Fire Department, Vesper Fire Department, Wisconsin Rapids Ambulance, Life Link, Wood County Dispatch Center, Wood County Coroner and Nieman's Tow Service.
