Marshfield Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident Friday Night

(Jamie Rokus, Wausau Daily Herald) A 50-year-old Marshfield man is dead after a motorcycle crash late Friday night in Lincoln County.

According to Jamie Rokus with the Wausau Daily Herald, at 11:53 p.m. Friday, the Lincoln County 911 Dispatch Center received a call reporting a single motorcycle crash with one occupant on U.S. 51, near mile marker 211, in the town of Merrill.

The preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was traveling south on U.S. 51 when it hit a bear, according to a news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of the motorcycle, Paul Bohman, of Marshfield, died as a result of his injuries, according to the release.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Merrill Police Department, Merrill Fire Department and the Lincoln County coroner. The crash remains under investigation.
