(Chris Conley, WSAU-WAOW) The Antigo School District has been made aware of a potential threat regarding school safety of the high school on social media.
According to Chris Conley with WSAU and WAOW, District Administrator Glenda Oginski addressed parents and staff in a post on Facebook Wednesday evening, saying they “were made aware of a reported threat that was posted to social media and that referenced school safety at our high school.” The district is cooperating with the Antigo Police Department as they address the situation.
They say the safety and wellbeing of their students and staff is their number one priority. No further details are known at this time. Thursday’s classes will proceed as usual for now, but there will be additional law enforcement present.
