Marshfield School District Holding Informational Meetings on Operational Bond Referendum
Monday, September 9th, 2024 -- 9:25 AM
Following an extensive comprehensive facility assessment process, the Marshfield Board of Education has voted to place a bond (or facilities) referendum question on the November 5, 2024, ballot.
The $71,575,000 bond referendum, if approved by voters, will address significant facility needs in the district, which they cannot address within their annual budget, and only become more costly to address in the future.
From now through November 5th, the District will provide as many opportunities as possible for individuals to learn more about Marshfield's facility needs, understand how the District worked with staff, students and the community to prioritize needs and define solutions, as well as the estimated impact on property taxes.
There are informational meetings being held on Monday, September 23rd at 6pm in the Grant Elementary Cafeteria. Another is being held on Tuesday, September 24th at 6pm in the high school library. Another meeting is being held on Monday, October 28th at 6pm in the high school library. Finally, a meeting is being held on Tuesday, October 29th at 6pm in the Grant Elementary Cafeteria.
