Colby-Abbotsford Police Department Releases More Info on Body Found in Colby
Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 -- 1:00 PM
On Sunday, August 25, 2024 at approximately 7:26 am, CAPD was dispatched to the intersection of N Division St (Hwy 13) and E Wausau St in the City of Colby in reference to a deceased individual in the road.
Officers arrived on scene and observed a male individual deceased on the roadway. Central Fire and EMS and Clark County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene. The Clark County Coroner was called.
Investigation of this incident has determined the 28 year old, male victim, died due a self inflicted fall from the top of the feed mill tower located to the west of the road. The autopsy determined death was presumptively caused by multiple injuries from a high fall. Family has been notified. No additional information will be released at this time.
Investigation was conducted by the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department along with assistance from Clark County Sheriff’s Department, Central Fire and EMS, Spencer Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Clark County Coroner’s Office and Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
