(Mike Leischner, WSAU) Four Central Wisconsin residents are facing federal drug charges after a significant amount of meth and cocaine along with firearms, according to Mike Leischner with WSAU.
Wausau Pilot and Review reports that 31-year-old Joshua Lake, 28-year-old Jessica Colby, 31-year-old Mercadys Perkins, and 36-year-old Dustin Brunker are all facing charges related to drug trafficking.
Lake is also facing charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The charges stem from an April 15th raid on a home in Stratford where five pounds of methamphetamine and two pounds of cocaine were seized along with handguns and rifles.
Lake reportedly waived his right to remain silent during the raid, telling police about the items on the property. He also reportedly told the officers that he was due to fly to Mexico. Charges were filed in Marathon County but quickly dismissed as federal investigators took over the case.
The crew was indicted in US District Court for Western Wisconsin in July and further court action against them is pending.
