Neillsville School Board Approves Accepting Vacated Property and More

The Neillsville School Board approved to accept the vacated property from the City of Neillsville at their recent meeting on Monday.
They also heard a building project update. The Board also approved the personal property revision and a 2% increase to the Show Choir extracurricular contract in the 2024-2025 Employee Handbook.
The Board also approved the 2024-2025 Family Handbook with revisions, approved the Crisis Response Plan with revisions, and approved seven regular, one special needs, and three noon bus routes for 2024-2025 as presented.
The Board also approved the FFA grant application, approved the offer versus serve contract for food service for the 2024-2025 school year, approved the Wisconsin Morning Milk Program, and approved the Federal Milk Program.
The Board also approved the donation of two buses to the Neillsville Area Chamber, approved the donation of school supplies from the Chamber of Commerce, approved the donation of school supplies from Unity Bank, and approved the donation of school supplies from Pine Valley Zion Lutheran Church.
In employment matters, the Board approved, as presented, the resignation of Lori Schultz from her food service assistant position, Ashley Hoppe from her teaching assistant position, Paul Ziebell from his middle school track coaching position and from his middle school football coaching position, and Tom Friemoth from his weight room supervisor position.
The Board approved the hiring, as presented, of Kelli Blastic for the food service assistant position, Tammy Klove for the food service assistant position, Amy Peters for a teaching assistant position, Norlyn Grace Bayogos for the middle school teacher position, and Brandon Wampole for the middle school football coaching position.
The Board also approved the Memorandum of Understanding for Bryce DeSmet and approved the updated letter of appointment for Amy Veltus for her food service assistant position. The Board also approved the initial adoption of a long list of policies.
Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on:
- An article from PMA regarding the semi-annual market outlook;
- An increase in state property values;
- An update from Boardman & Clark on Act 10;
- A potential SCOTUS Title IX decision;
- And the next board meeting.
