Marshfield Area Pet Shelter in Need of Donations During Busy Season

It’s the busy season for many animal shelters and the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter is no different.

Animal shelters and rescues see an increase in animals entering their facility from early spring to late fall. The number of cats, kittens and pregnant moms increases every day. At one point, they had over 35 moms and kittens in seven different foster homes.

Additionally, their pet surrender waitlist contains 15 dogs and 6 cats. Monetary and supply donations help MAPS sustain their life saving work. Please give if you can. The most needed supplies include Tidy Cats CLUMPING Litter, Canned PATE Cat Food, Dry Cat Food (any brand), Purina Kitten and Cat Food, Canned Dog Food, Greenies Pill Pockets for Dogs, and AA Batteries

Donations can be dropped off at 3500 Downwind Dr or shipped to MAPS via their Amazon and Chewy wish lists. Also, Cheesy Mac (pictured) is a 2 month old kitten who came to MAPS with a serious leg injury. His x-rays showed that his back leg was so severely broken that it had to be removed.

The cost of his surgery and medical care exceeded $550. Please give if you can to help cover his medical care. Cheesy Mac is the sweetest little boy and he's been brave throughout his horrific ordeal.

Finally, more donor bricks were recently installed at MAPS. Each one represents a special person or pet. They love reading all the heartfelt messages on each brick. They thank everyone who ordered them. This is an ongoing fundraiser to support their day-to-day operations.
