HERITAGE DAYS BEGINS
Thursday, July 10th, 2008 -- 1:53 PM
Neillsville's big summer festival gets underway this evening."Saluting Our Area Workforce" is the theme for this year's Heritage Days.
It's the 14th year for the festival.
"We wanted everyone in the city to come together and enjoy the weekend at an affordable price," explains Neillsville Mayor, and Heritage Days committee member, Diane Murphy.
The theme this year reflects some recent "problems" in the Industrial Park, but also the positives that have come from having a hardworking reputation.
"The employers are looking for places to go with a dedicated workforce and an experienced workforce, and we have them here in Neillsville," Murphy notes.
The Beer Garden will open tonight (Thursday) at 5 p.m. The Little Miss Neillsville Coronation will be held at 6 p.m. in the tent, followed by the Karaoke contests, starting at 7 p.m.
