Wednesday, July 24th, 2024 -- 1:00 PM
(Heather Knox, WEAU) A Chippewa Falls woman accused of aiding a felon in relation to a September 2022 homicide entered a plea and was sentenced today.
Court documents show that on July 22, 27-year-old Paige Reiter pleaded no contest to one count of harboring or aiding a felon. The court accepted the plea and found Reiter guilty. The court withheld the sentence and ordered Reiter to serve three years of probation.
If the conditions of her probation are not met, Reiter will serve 120 days in jail. On Sept. 17, 2022, Christopher Conner of Altoona, Wis., was found with a gunshot wound near the intersection of Bergen Avenue and Bellevue Avenue.
Kemone Golden of Cadott, Wis., was one of the suspects charged in the shooting death of Conner. Reiter, Golden’s ex-girlfriend, was accused of sending money to Golden while he was on the run and giving police a false phone number.
Reiter originally pleaded not guilty to related charges on March 11, 2024.
