Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls Donates to The Highground’s Vietnam Veterans Reunion

On Monday, June 24, Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls (https://www.ho-chunkgaming.com/blackriverfalls) presented The Highground Veterans Memorial Park with a check for $2,500 in support of their 2024 Vietnam Veterans Reunion.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls is a long-time supporter of The Highground and its programs for veterans. This annual Vietnam Veterans Reunion brings veterans together to enjoy a day of camaraderie, Vietnam War exhibits, presentations, veteran resource education, UH-1H Huey helicopter displays and more. This year’s Vietnam Veterans Reunion will take place on Sunday, August 4 from 10am-2pm at The Highground near Neillsville.

The reunion itinerary includes a 10am landing (weather permitting) of a UH-1H Huey helicopter which flew during the Vietnam War, a static display UH-1H Huey helicopter courtesy of VVA 331, the “Vietnam Experience” Exhibit by Historic Military Impressions, The Highground’s Big Map of the Vietnam War (16’ x 24’) which Vietnam veterans may sign, and a 1pm presentation by Vietnam Veteran Doug Bradley, author of “We Gotta Get Out of This Place: The Soundtrack of the Vietnam War.” These activities are also open to the public free of charge.

There will be a lunch for Vietnam veterans which will be free for Vietnam Veterans (and guest) who RSVP before July 31. To RSVP for lunch, Vietnam veterans can contact Theresa at The Highground at [email protected] or 715-743-4224.
