2024-25 Clark County Fairest of the Fair Candidates: Laela Scott

The Clark County Fairest of the Fair competition is just a few weeks away.

The crowning of the Fairest of the Fair is happening Wednesday, August 7th at 7pm in Dairy Show Arena at the Clark County Fairgrounds. I had an opportunity to speak with all seven candidates vying for the position including Laela Scott sponsored by GRIT Nutrition.

She will be a senior at Neillsville High School. She’s involved in Spanish Club, FCCLA, and she’s a class officer. Laela discussed why she decided to run for Fairest of the Fair.

"What made me run for Fairest of the Fair is my passion to educate others about the fair and what all it entails. If I become Fairest, I want to further education to other communities about the Clark County Fair."

Again, the 2024-25 Clark County Fairest of the Fair will be crowned Wednesday, August 7th at 7pm in the Dairy Show Arena at the Clark County Fairgrounds.

Outgoing Fairest of the Fair Devani Hinkleman offered some advice for this year’s candidates: “Honestly, something I wish I would have known more before I went into is how important it is to actually soak up those moments and every event you go to, just take it in. Because this year has, honestly, flown by way faster than I thought it was going to. And it’s just something that you just need to take that time, soak it in, and enjoy every moment.”
