Neillsville School Board Approves Several Items in Preparation for the Next School Year

The Neillsville School Board heard a building and grounds update at their meeting on Monday.

The Board approved the Construction Management Agreement with Wendel Companies and the Construction Management Agreement with CESA 10. The Board also approved the food service meal prices for 2024-2025. Breakfast is $1.75, Elementary lunch is $3.25, and middle school/high school lunch is $3.75.

The Board also approved the annual meeting agenda as amended, approved the 2023-2024 Seclusion and Restraint Report, and approved the annual safety drill report as amended.

The Board also approved the 2024-2025 membership for the Wisconsin Association of Equity in Funding, approved the Athletic Handbook with modifications, approved the 2024-2025 Employee Handbook with modifications, approved transportation charges for 2024-2025, and approved the yearbook prices for 2024-2025.

The Board also approved a donation of a whiteboard from Atmus Filtration Technologies. In employment matters, the Board approved the resignation of Melanie Mitchell from her food service lead position, Kali Lien from her middle school teaching position, Duane King from his middle school football coaching position, Natalie Walsh from her middle school volleyball coaching position.

The Board also approved the hiring of Todd Fischer for the middle school football coaching position, Morgan Spencer for the assistant softball coaching position, Paul Ziebell for the assistant track coaching position, Lexi Opelt for the middle school volleyball coaching position as presented, and Melissa Strangfeld for the student council advisor position.

The Board also approved the Memorandum of Understanding for Larry Anason and Floyd Schoen as presented. The Board also approved the initial adoption of Policies 0100, 0111, 0112, 0113, 0114, 0115, 2264, and 2266 as presented.

District Administrator John Gaier reported on a thank you card; the district social media report card; a general aid report from DPI; a Journal Times article, "Impact of Act 10 Ruling"; and the next board meeting date.
